As we kick off this school year, I am delighted to announce the new group of Planet Forward Correspondents who will be contributing their skills, creativity, and research to our growing platform. These students will produce videos, podcasts, multimedia experiences, and pieces of written journalism that will explore the environmental challenges and solutions facing their communities locally, nationally, and around the world.

This year’s Correspondents went through a competitive application process in order to be selected for the program and represent their schools on Planet Forward. The students come not only from across the country this time around, but some hail from schools around the world. With 15 schools represented, the year’s cohort is the most far ranging we’ve ever featured.

Our Senior Correspondents have applied to continue to the program for an additional year and will be focused on producing cover stories of broader scope, depth, and creativity.

The editorial themes this year will include food systems, water & oceans, mobility & electrification, and more. We can’t wait for you to read, watch, and listen to these students’ upcoming work and keep track of what this generation of inspiring and motivated storytellers are publishing. Their voices are needed now more than ever and we can’t wait to bring you their insights.
