I am a Masters student in my second year at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA, graduating in May 2024. As an International Environmental Policy student, I specialize in Ocean and Coastal Resource Management. This past year, I worked with Fair Carbon analyzing blue carbon project potential globally based on each nation's NDCs. I also spearheaded a map project of reef health and fish biomass on Ulithi Atoll for community use through One People One Reef. I am currently working with the IUCN WCPA researching lessons learned from large scale marine protected areas (MPAs) to inform the future establishment of high seas MPAs. I plan to continue working with MPAs in the future by co-creating policy that facilitates the protection and conservation of our oceans. I am passionate about informing and inspiring others to connect with natural places and people around the world because big change often starts with the smallest of cognitive shifts.
