Time and time again, tribal food systems have been threatened, making the preservation of food sovereignty increasingly important. For members of tribal communities, hunting and foraging are essential practices that connect humans with the land around them, while also supporting food sovereignty for the community as a whole. Organizations like the CSKT Food Sovereignty Program in Pablo, Montana are working to scale distribution of high quality foods by bringing together local food producers.
