Travel and adventure are a source of life for Maia. She is a creative and adventure enthusiast, interested in documenting human connection through the photographic and storytelling lens. She studied Journalism at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University with a double major in dance at the Tisch School of the Arts. She uses what she has learned at NYU to grapple with the difficult challenges being a journalist has in this age of media. She wants to find innovative ways to bring forth quality stories while continuing to be a student of the world.
