Rutgers oceanographers travel to Barbados to join an international team of scientists, policymakers, and educators. Together, they deploy a glider robot that will collect critical ocean data as part of their joint efforts to improve hurricane forecasting and save lives in the Caribbean and the Americas. They aim to make Barbados a hub for marine science in the Caribbean by creating a glider port where local scientists and students can conduct innovative oceanographic research.
