Panelists at National Council on the Science and Environment’s annual conference in Washington, DC discussed how a new American Dream will be shaped by our green endeavors. Discussion revolved around the death of suburbia and the potential birth of green urban spaces to battle climate change. The message was clear: green building and green jobs are imperative to achieving a new healthy, financially sustainable, and environmentally sound economy. But most importantly, generations X, Y, and the new Millenials must vocalize and continue to be responsible for their environments.
