Luther College’s sustainability initiatives are rooted in student values and supported through the institution’s strategic plan. The pursuit of our sustainable campus lies within the innovation of students, an openness to a new way of operating, and the desire to practice the joyful stewardship of the resources that surround us.
From a student project, to a house run complete on solar, to the largest solar field in Iowa, Luther students, faculty, and staff work to reduce our carbon footprint by 50% by 2015. Renewable energy, efficiency, conservation, and a community commitment are making it a reality.
Luther College: Learn. Act. Sustain.
