Allison Hrycik and Kira Yerofeev’s go out on Chautauqua Lake every other week in a boat brimming with scientific instruments as part of Darrin Fresh Water Institute at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a research endeavor entering its sixth year on Chautauqua Lake.
