ContributorHi everyone! I am a PhD student at SUNY ESF, studying socio-ecological systems (ie. all of the ways in which humans are intertwined with nature). My research looks at the myriad of ways pollutants impact marine biodiversity and human health in Vieques, Puerto Rico. I am very passionate about using art as a tool for science, to engage local communities in the research process and make sure restoration aligns with local priorities. Outside of graduate school, I am a climbing and kayaking guide who loves to draw comics, take photos, read an exorbitant amount of books, and trail run.
