Alisa Smith Woodruff is Skokomish – tuwaduq citizen. Currently in the Master in Environmental science program at Evergreen State College. Alisa has been working at the N.W.I.C Nisqually site as a Running start specialist, Academic Advisor, and teaches Conversational language concentrating on the Lushootseed Southern dialect. Alisa has guest spoken at St. Martins's University, Tiilth garden and farming, A.G.U., and NASA Indigenous people's GIS training. She spends her time teaching her kids Twana and Lushootseed language, spending time doing yard work for elders in the community and listening to Elders' memories as well as attending cultural events.
