BP Oil Spill: Related Research at Ole Miss
Nearly 5 million barrels of oil were released due to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill between April 2010 and July 2010, making it the largest marine oil spill in American history. Today, over a year later, the effects of the oil spill can still be seen. Dr. Mark Hamann and his research team are working on multiple ideas that could help if something like this were to every happen again, including a new way to clean contaminated seafood and to remove petroleum from the ocean.
