Debrief on the Paris Climate Talks: Implications for Cities and Urban Growth

Join Planet Forward for a discussion with COP21 attendees, including Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie and Elliot Diringer of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions. We’ll look at the outcome of the 2015 Paris Climate Conference:

How will we achieve the goals set at the conference, and what does it mean for cities and their projected growth?

The conversation will be moderated by Frank Sesno, founder of Planet Forward and director of the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University.

2016 Planet Forward Summit
The 2016 Summit on Sustainable Cities will bring together mayors, leaders in sustainability and the next generation of innovators for a dialogue about the future of urban life. We’ll explore the stories of our cities on the frontlines of climate change and we’ll reveal the winners of our Planet Forward Storyfest Award. Make plans to join us April 21-22. Mark your calendar now!

Salon Series
The Planet Forward Salon Series connects leaders, educators, innovators and students in a focused conversation on solutions and innovations. Moderated by Planet Forward host and creator Frank Sesno, approximately 40 participants consider and discuss best practices to address the future of our cities, including climate and energy issues, food security, mobility and built environment, and how they’re intertwined. Content and ideas from the planetforward.org community are shared and considered during salons.
