The Solar Homestead is Appalachian State University\'s entry in the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2011. Working from the ideals of independence and ingenuity, we have created a net-zero energy home that integrates renewable resources and innovative technology; a home that is adaptable, self-sufficient, affordable, and attractive. The Solar Homestead.
