I am a junior undergraduate student at the University of Mississippi majoring in Computer Science with double minors in International Relations and Mathematics. Through my technical knowledge and global experiences, I intend to solve the issues of climate change and hunger while ensuring proper access to education among people.
Born and raised in a small town in India, I come from a humble background that allowed me to witness such global issues on a local level. I further got involved with Model United Nations in middle school that exposed me to the policy side of such issues. With each conference I went to, I brought back my country's placard to put up on my wall. Every country on my wall is a reminder of the diverse set of problems I have tried to address as a "mock" delegate. These conferences have made me realize that these issues prevail in every country on either a micro or macro level, even if subliminally.
I hope to lead by example by inspiring this and the next generations of leaders to cultivate innovation and solve global issues. As Dumbledore once told Harry Potter, "It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
