Hello there, I'm Mikayla!  I'm currently a senior at the George Washington University in DC studying international environmental policy and sustainability.  I am very passionate about protecting our earth and finding creative and compelling ways to encourage other people to feel the same.  I have held internships with the Bureau of Oceans, Environment, and Science in the US Department of State, Conservation International, and other regional environmental NGOs, learning and working to safeguard our home and all of the beautiful life on it.  Last semester, I was studying abroad in Tel Aviv, Israel where I became very interested in environmental issues in the Middle East and the power of interfaith networks in cultivating more robust environmental stewardship.  I believe this intersection between spirituality and nature has the potential to deepen environmentalist attitudes and bridge communities together over a shared interest.  In addition to loving the earth, I also love to hike, write, and practice yoga on the earth!
