Hi! My name is Matías and I'm a rising junior at St. Andrew's High School in Maryland. I am honored to be Planet Forward's only high school writer, and hope to bring new, insightful opinions that contribute to this important mission for the world's betterment. I have always carried with me an immense interest in anything that affects the world and how to fix it. This passion, I suspect, is what makes me so invested in politics and, more specifically, climate issues. As the most daunting challenge our world faces, it is imperative that we as a global community fight it, finding any means necessary to help the movement progress. For nearly all of my life, climate change has been a simple truth, an absolute reality. This led to me forming many ideas on climate change that I can't wait to share with the Planet Forward community!
