Mark Kerbel, REGEN Energy

Mr. Kerbel is co-author of REGEN Energy\'s swarm logic patent, and involved in the development, funding, and commercialization activities of the firm, particularly with its key U.S. customers and strategic partners, and is a frequent speaker on the topic of emergent systems theory and its application to Smart Grid and Smart Buildings technologies. Prior to forming REGEN, Mr. Kerbel has served as a board member and executive as a founding partner of the SPi Group, one of Canada\'s leading software solutions providers for the retail energy sector. Mr. Kerbel has chaired and/or been invited to participate on a number of committees in the energy sector including the Electronic Business Transaction Standards Working Group of the Ontario Energy Board, the Technology Joint Sector Committee of the Ontario Energy Association, the Smart Meter Initiative of the Ontario Energy Board and the Regulated Price Plan Initiative of the Ontario Energy Board. More recently, Mark has become a member of the OpenADR alliance.
