However, with more Americans buying electric and hybrid vehicles, many more stations need to be built to keep up with demand. Voltpost is a startup that retrofits lamp posts into charging stations for electric vehicles. “We recognize that in order for people to go from gas to electric, they need convenient and affordable charging access,” said Jeffrey Prosserman, a Voltpost founder. They have Voltpost stations available to the public in Michigan and are hoping to have Volpost available in more states in the coming months.
