I obtained two chemical engineering degrees from the Ohio State University, a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science. Later, I obtained a Doctorate in Environmental Science from the Ohio State University. I am a registered Professional Engineer in several US States.
I started my professional career with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency where I held positions in the Air, Wastewater and Solid/Hazardous Waste Sections. In those capacities, I interacted with government and industry representatives, assisted in the development of air pollution regulations and of the hazardous waste program. I also trained Agency personnel.
I joined the General Electric Company as Senior Environmental Engineer in charge of two facilities, one in the US and one in Dublin, Ireland. In this capacity, I ensured the manufacturing facilities achieved and maintained compliance with the rules and regulations in both countries.
I co-founded a regulatory compliance consulting and testing firm. Over the years, many of our projects involved extensive training and management of personnel on technical and regulatory aspects of regulations, on personal safety and on chemical contingency planning. I have published several scientific papers.
