Melchisedeck Boshirwa is a young entrepreneur, multimedia journalist, translator and writer from Burundi. He is the founder and CEO of the company of Andika Solutions that offers translation, content creation, digital communication and marketing services. Through the company, he founded Andika Magazine, a media outlet registered in Burundi that uses storytelling to promote art, culture, education, entrepreneurship, environment, fashion, health and society. The media also shares news about creativity, entrepreneurship, innovation, and society in general through “success stories” and media coverage.
Boshirwa has a Bachelor degree of English Language from the University of Burundi, in the Institute for Applied Pedagogy. While a student he published his first book, a collection of his French poems, “La poésie est mon art et mon pactole” in Italy. His interest in journalism and digital communication has been shaped by his experience as a digital journalist for Burundian and international media. As a journalist, he tells stories that matter about art, creativity, entrepreneurship, environment, and health.
Boshirwa is 2023 Young African Leaders Initiative alumnus from Kenyatta University, Kenya, and a 2025 Mandela Washington Fellow from the University of Texas at Austin, U.S.
