Elena joined our team in 2023 to help execute the annual Planet Forward Summit and is now our Program Coordinator and Assistant Editor. She graduated from George Washington University in 2023 with a degree in International Affairs and Journalism and a focus in conflict resolution. Elena has strong passions for audio storytelling, creative writing, and human rights advocacy.

Her deep love for the outdoors and desire to care for the earth and its people transcends her professional and personal life. In college, she volunteered as a guide for GW’s flagship outdoor leadership organization, and participated in a variety of environmental volunteer efforts in Washington, D.C. She hopes to lead a life and career built around service and peacebuilding at a local and international level.

On a given day you’ll find her writing songs in her room, going for a run, or raving about Planet Forward to her friends!
