My name is Daniela, and I am a second-year student at The George Washington University, studying journalism and mass communications with a minor in graphic design. I am a proud first-generation student, coming from two Mexican immigrant parents. I grew up in central New Jersey with my parents and older brother, spending a lot of time with my three cats: Frankie, Jack and Diana. Aside from my passion for writing and immigration, I like to draw, play video games, listen to all kinds of music and love watching all forms of media. Inspired by what I saw growing up, I hope to shed light on the everyday realities of people and educate both myself and the community.
