Chloe Malouf is a recent graduate from Tulane University with a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. During her undergraduate years, Chloe participated in research labs studying plant-microbe interactions, which sparked her interest in sustainable agriculture and environmental justice. After graduating, she joined the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation’s Young Voices of Science program, where she has been actively involved in science communication and outreach. For the program’s outreach project, Chloe created a multimedia story for Planet Forward about the threats ship strikes pose to whale populations and the solutions to address this issue on a global scale. Chloe has a wide range of interests within ecology and environmental science and is currently focused on her passion for marine conservation. She is exploring these diverse interests before ultimately pursuing a Master’s degree related to conservation. Chloe hopes to continue her exploration through a career in science journalism, while narrowing her focus to better understand where she can have the greatest impact.
