Witness – and record – the raw power of nature in stunning New Mexico. At the Ted Turner Reserves Vermejo Ranch, join Planet Forward filmmakers and editorial staff on a thrilling trip to remote and wild landscapes.

Participants will learn how to film and photograph the natural beauty of vast grasslands, vital riparian ecosystems, roaming bison, and much more.

Five students will join us this summer from July 5 – 10.

Eligibility: Applicants must reside in the United States, be at least 18 years old, and must be currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited university.

Deadline: Apply by 11:59pm ET, March 30, 2026.

Timeline: Once you’ve applied, you may be selected for an interview with Planet Forward staff. The five students selected for the opportunity will be revealed at the 2026 Planet Forward Summit on April 16 & 17, 2026.
