University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Consortium

The University administration has set challenging goals for energy use, local foods purchasing, recycling and more. Fortunately, we have a plan (the Illinois Climate Action Plan) that will enable us to achieve those goals. Sustainability principles and practices are embraced by many at Illinois. People from all over this broad campus are taking action to make our campus more sustainable. Our students may be the most active and vocal on campus, but faculty and staff are also engaged in the pursuit.

Read more about some of the major commitments the university has made in the area of sustainability.
