More recycling bins in the Grove – there is actually a major demand for recycling in the Grove. Director of Sustainability Jim Morrison reported that 350 tons of trash were produced during the 2010 Ole Miss Football Season, that means 60 tons of waste per home game. On the other hand, Morrison said that 1,300 lbs of recycling were collected from the Grove, as well as 700 lbs from the stadium. Morrison and his team is working to find ways to dramatically increase those numbers. Some ideas for the upcoming 2011 season include: supplying tailgaters with more recycling bins, setting up a recycling station and increasing awareness.
