I wrote the Department of Education in Phoenix about giving me thirty days to cook healthy food, recycle or use washable utensils and start an organic garden after seeing this movie and Jamie Oliver on ABC last Friday night and on wwe.ted.com

We’ve got a little project going in an effort to eat healthier. The end goal is to have enough healthy recipes mastered that we can start holding little informal cooking classes in order to help our friends (mostly FB network) transition to healthier cooking and eating. The project is called Mission Simpossible…

I agree with the idea of eating less meat. A variety of research is proving that “normal” levels of animal protein consumption are highly inflammatory, and ultimately really unhealthy.

Eating Animals Kills You
Before a person eats an animal, the animal is killed. And because animals are actually aware of what’s going to happen to them, they secret adrenaline and other chemicals that are toxic to those who consume them.
When you opt for meat, you are opting for early heart Disease, Stroke, Cancer, Osteoporisis, Kidney Disease, Diabetes, and other degenerative diseases.
So eating impacts the environment and everything in it, namely us. This is not rocket science or new age hoopla. These are the facts and they are backed by modern research and by the world’s oldest tradition of knowledge, the Vedas of India.
If we want to live long and happy lives, we just have to let the animals live long and happy lives. It’s Nature’s law, not mine.
What about killing plants?
Plants do not secret dangerous chemicals when they die nor do they suffer when they are killed. Their nervous systems are not developed enough for that.

Interesting comment about animals secrete adrenaline and other chemicals. I did not know that. Over long periods of eating meat no wonder people get sick.

That bit of knowledge came from Brihaspati Dev Triguna, the world’s leading expert in pulse diagnosis. Once physician to the Prime Minister of India, he helped Maharishi Mahesh Yogi revive Ayurveda for the modern world. I first heard him in 1980 at the first international conference on Ayurveda in India. On his first visit to the U.S. in 1986, he took pulses of members of Congress in D.C. and caused quite a stir. He’s currently president of the All-India Ayurvedic Congress and holds several government positions, including Director of the Central Council for Research on Ayurveda and chairman of the National Academy of Ayurveda.

You might want to check out TM.org
TM has improved every area of my life, effortlessly, since 1971. You don’t have to give up anything. It’s all automatic. Your mind-body just loses its desire for anything harmful.
Michelle Obama recently toured some inner city schools that have been completely transformed with TM.

I do TM also. Thanks for input though.
