Disney has such a system. A town called Elk Grove Village near Chicago, near O’Hare International airport, had planned such a system, but never built it because of economy. A smaller ‘Peoplemover’ is in use at that airport.
This system would be a good use for ‘Street Spike’. See my other postings.

Street Spike can be driven to help vehicles park. SSs can be set off road on unpaved trails. SSs can be set by military and law enforcement to park places and things. Recive power broadcast from space from a geo-syncronus satelite converting solar to microwaves. Rooftop dishes recieve the MWs, convert them to heat, the heat goes to a home generator (boiler) which turns a small turbine to create DC electricity which is converted to AC electricity to power everything in the home and charge the car.
