Reduce the Carbon Impact of…Your Love Life?

Thanks to Stefanie Iris Weiss, author of the recently released book “Eco-Sex,”couples everywhere are being asked to consider the environmental impact of their love lives. The global movement to save the environment has gone truly global – not even your bedroom is safe!

Despite your best efforts to recycle, Weiss asserts that if you haven’t considered “greening” your love life, you could still be considered an “environmental disaster.” While the subject may seem absurd, her suggestions are altogether rather practical. They include:

• Hop on your bike for your next date and leave your car at home. (That means saying “adieu” to long-distance relationships.)

• Stop excessive spending on Valentine’s Day. (It produces way too much trash anyway.)

• Wear comfy bamboo underwear.

• How about going to a restaurant where you can eat a seductive menu based on organic, local food, which has produced less carbon dioxide before it ends up on your plate?

Her most controversial suggestion? “The No. 1 thing people can do to be an eco-sexual is to have fewer kids, or have none at all,” said Weiss, who is childless. According to Fox News, if you think that sounds outrageous, just give a thought to the 90 percent of the estimated diapers sold each year that end up in landfills. Or how the carbon footprint of one extra person far outweighs all the energy-saving light bulbs you’ve installed.

  1. The article on how to behave in the bedroom is truly the height of silliness, and should not be taken seriously. The only thing it may accomplish is that it won’t be necessary for a woman to say, “Not tonight, dear, I have a headache.” She can now say to her equally duped partner, “Not tonight dear. The temperature today was too high, without us contributing to increased heat.”

Please go to “Sun, source of heat and life,” and find out that how often you make love to someone, or how often you deprive yourself of any creature comforts you care to indulge in, WILL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH WHETHER THE EARTH, MARS AND ANY OF THE PLANETS IN OUR SYSTEM THAT GO COOL OR WARM ACCORDING TO THE SUN’S ACTIVITIES.

Cleaning the air of pollutants is a good thing. Believing that what you do, as an individual, can have any impact on whether we get warmer is plain stupid, according to all the evidence that have been revealed these past couple of years.

If you visualize the atmosphere as a 100 story building, the total of manmade and nature made CO2 is the equivalent of the thickness of the linoleum on the first floor.

So…all of the commited CO2 fans should watch where the 50% increased amount of money they spend for electricity goes into Al Gore’s UK company account. Also, Google the London newspaper article “Al Gore Stands to Become the First Carbon Billionaire.” That’s with a B.
