MN2020: Protecting and Restoring Minnesota Waterways

A strong Clean Water initiative from the federal government, along with matched funds from the Minnesota Legacy Amendment, present the best opportunity in years to make important progress in remediation and restoration of key superfund sites in the Great Lakes. The St. Louis River Estuary extends out of Lake Superior, and is in great need of clean up.
Business leaders, environmental researchers, and Minnesota policymakers recently toured the Duluth harbor and the St. Louis River to see firsthand what’s at stake in restoring the Duluth-Superior harbor for wildlife and sustainable economic development.
