  1. WE KNOW THIS ENGINE WORKS IT’S PROVEN

  2. Considering the broad based usage of the 4 cycle engine in our world, I believe it will be crucial moving foward that we find ways to improve it’s efficiency. The Scuderi group “Split Cycle” Engine looks like ground breaking technology.

  3. THIS ENGINE IS WHAT THE WOLD HAS BEEN WAITING FOR. PRODUCTION CAN NOT COME QUICK ENOUGH!

  4. Many experts agree that the internal combustion engine will continue to be the dominant source of motor vehicle power for the foreseeable future. Alternative solutions such as electric and hydrogen power still have significant obstacles to overcome before they can be expected to compete as an equal in value and performance. They are simply not yet developed enough to replace current technology. In the meantime, improving the internal combustion engine combustion is a major focus of manufactures, something we all should support. The recent fuel and emission figures that the Scuderi Group is reporting are extremely impressive and encouraging. No wonder that manufactures are interested in licensing their technology.

  5. It you want a powerful clean burning highly fuel efficient engine, then this is it.
The electric alternative is all hype.
Come on, we have a hard enough time keeping our cell phones, ipods, and laptops charged, and thats living in a world surrounded by outlets.
So even if they had the infrastructure in place you would jump in your car and say “CRAP” The kid forgot to charge the car. Or the power went out.
Just imagine charging your car, the wife, the kids, and friends should they visit. Its just not realistic. Then once you leave your home you have to worry as to where your next charge will be.
The Scuderi Engine makes much more sense in the real world. It is proven, and is currently being optimized in one of the worlds best research facilities.

  6. 80% reduction in emissions, increased torque and fuel efficiency combined with an air-hybrid and deisel application…WOW, bring it on.
    Go Scuderi Go ! !

  7. i love scuderi. it’s a new technology that is a must do in this world, without it, we will all lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. thinking about this technology, my heart races like a rocket shooting upward, full speed ahead, and only blue skies ahead, AMEN

  9. I’ve always heard people talking about engines with increased efficiencies and higher mileage expectancies…nice to see someone actually produce one! Very exciting, good luck Scuderi!

  10. I hope they can bring it to market faster than 3 years and at a lower price point than a $40,000 chevy volt or $35,000 Toyota Prius

  11. Until we can develop cold fusion as an energy source the scuderi engine is the best stop gap solution. The companies that develop extensions and modifications of the existing scuderi patents wil expand and improve this proven technology for even better performance.

  12. The more research I so on this Scuderi split cycle Motor , I have to wander why it’s not in used in the industry yet?

  13. The Scuderi Engine is the Next Big Thing. Because it works!

  14. Everything I’m reading meets & exceeds expectations. I can’t wait to purchase a vehicle with this technology.

  15. All the data is there this tecnologhy will change the way the split cycle engine puts out horse power along with better fuel economy and lower emmissions .I am sure green tech will be pleased

  16. A two cylinder Scuderi engine with the horsepower of an Otto 6 cylinder, emissions near an all-electric vehicle, the torque of a diesel, and fuel mileage surpassing any electric/hybrid we have ever seen?

    Where do I sign up?

‘Nuff said, bring it to market gentlemen,,,

  17. Let’s see battery electric engines in trucks, trains, boats and buses! Not in our life time! What gets me is that my tax dollars are forceing me to except a less efficient process. What manufacturers of the Volt and Leaf fail to mention is that range is further decreased at night (lights) or in the rain (wipers). Forget about AC, or even playing the radio. Perhaps Fred Flintstone had it right! Maybe this ever limited range we are lead to believe is why both cars come with 24 hour road assistence! Looks like the tow industry is about to get a boost in business. Pray for sunny cool dry days, but keep your cell phone charged. Oh I forgot, make sure you charge your phone at home first, could cost you a few extra miles in range. Go Scuderi…..

  18. Wow! American ingenuity. I love it! I want to see this engine in a vehicle ASAP. What a great technology that when brought to market will aid in preserving the environment and our nation’s wealth.

  19. Consider the boost this can offer the American economy. Improved mpg equals less money being dumped into gas tanks equals more money in people’s pockets that they can spend somewhere else.

  20. This is where car engines need to be–maximum efficiency without the need for a hybrid or electric motor. Just bought a Prius–hope my next car will have a Scuderi split cycle engine!!

  21. Heaven knows we can use an engine like this with the price of gas continuously going up!! I don’t want to buy another car unless it has a Scuderi engine in it!

  22. The American economy can sure use this right now. I cannot wait to purchase my next vehicle with a Scuderi engine in it!

  23. I am very excited about this technology – ready to see it move towards implementation.

  24. Lets move full steam ahead this technology is needed NOW!

  25. Numbers do not lie, look at the numbers that this motor is doing. Lets put this motor on the road. Great job Scuderi Group.

  26. Thrilled to see an alternative to the electric car. This will be disruptive techonology. When is the automobile industry going to get on board?

  27. It runs on all types of fuels, Bio included.

  28. This is a tremendous concept that is now proven with a running engine. Every step of the way things keep getting better. Investing in electric vehicles is short-sighted and expensive. Scuderi is the answer and will be shown as a real “game changer”!

  29. The Scuderi engine technology like all ICEs can be scaled to fit the needs of all tasks, from lawn mowers to power plant, and ships at sea. EVs are okay for golf carts and in town autos, but for big tasks, over long distances the internal combustion engine will be the only option for quit some time.

  30. The power density of petroleum is still king for anything that can fit inside a sedan. The infrastructure for gas and diesel, at least is the U.S., is not going away anytime soon. The Scuderi engine has the potential to change the world very quickly. It seems straight forward for a car company to upgrade a regular ICE with a smaller more efficient one. The electric, algae, hydrogen, biofuels solutions…they all have scale issues (for now). The trick of the Scuderi engine is that it gives you more power while using less resources (of which, none need to be exotic…like lithium) and it is a solution that can have an impact now…not 10 years from now…

  31. Looks like something that could be a great help in addressing our energy challenges, and the past accomplishments and credentials of the developers are impressive, as are the results certified by their prestigious testing agency

  32. Scuderi split cycle engine is the answer!! Bring it on…

  33. I dont understand why its taking so long for the masses to see the truth of SCUDERI. This works people !!!!!!!

  34. I believe the Scuderi engine with its 80% reduction of nox combined with an electric hybrid would be great for the enviroment.

  35. I want a Scuderi engine in my next car. Gas is back to $4.00 a gallon in California and it’s killing me! How do you spell relief? S-C-U-D-E-R-I.

  36. With all the hype about going green, this engine is a must with 80% emission reductions.

  37. Hey, I see a lot of people are interested in Algae biofuel from one of the nominees.
You can feed that to the Scuderi Engine and it will eat it up like fine Pesto Sauce. In return, it will get you home faster, cleaner, and with plenty of change left over to buy a nice bottle of wine.

  38. This is interesting technology, hopefully independent real world testing will back up the claims. For my personal transportation needs I’ll stick with my EV. It works, and you can’t get better mpg since there is no “g” involved.

  39. John,

Your EV get miles per charge. “C”. Which in the US involves burning coal.
    Not so green and clean.
You have to store your charge in Batteries. “B”. Which will eventually Die, and need to be disposed of.
    Not so environmental.
I rather fill my Scuderi Engine, and get to point “B”.
You won’t have such luck, unless you can find point “C” to keep going.

  40. Scuderi needs forums such as this to get the exposure it well deserves. With the URGENT need for CO2 reductions, these engines, should they start flooding the vehicle/engine market within a few years, would help immensely (the clock’s a tickin’ folks). Electric car batteries apparently cause more environmental damage than they prevent. Scuderi gets around that pretty quickly and cleanly. VOTE FOR SCUDERI to help this technology more forward!

  41. The scuderi engine takes a profoundly simple concept and applies it to the gas combustion engine in a way that can produce higher fuel efficiency with less toxic emissions using a smaller engine at less cost. A truly revolutionary idea for our planet!

  42. The general public needs more exposure to this innovation. Improving efficiency is always the best solution to our energy use problem. This design gives me hope for the future because public opinion does not seem to favor an all electric transportation system.

  43. Where is the competition?

EV? Batteries are costly, heavy, toxic, Expensive, need to be charged, replaced, need infrastructure, and are not ready for todays, or tomorrows extended milage that the real world needs. Not to mention the trucking industry that will never be able to go EV in the near future.

The Scuderi Engine is a fuel efficient internal combustion engine that can run on any type of fuel, and emit 80% less NOS gases.

    It will produce more power.
Muscle car power, for those old enough to remember.
It will be smaller, reducing weight.
It will be less expensive to retool and produce.
it will be very fuel efficient.
    It will burn very clean.
It will be used as a air hybrid.
It can be used as a electric hybrid.
It will be used in any commercial application from Trucking to Construction, Farming, Boats, Trains, you name it.

Its American Technology at its best, and needs to get in production.

    Vote – SCUDERI !

  45. I would like to see the Scuderi group look into the idea of engine replacement franchises in addition to marketing the engine to auto manufacturers. It seems to me that developing a way to replace inefficent engines with the split cycle engine is worth the effort for the sake of economy. Greater fuel efficiency is needed ASAP for many households where the dream of buying a new vehicle is far beyond reach.

Electric engines cannot fill the bill for this purpose, but I believe the Scuderi engine can. I would like to see engine replacement options become as readily available as new paint jobs for cars. Advertising campaigns that appeal to older Americans and to people opposed to wasteful disposal of useable vehicles are not hard to imagine.

The franchises would also lead to thousands of new jobs, while auto manufacturers who adopt the engine are likely to train current workers to do the installations rather than create new jobs.

  46. I only ask for one thing. An independent, fact-based, critical story. Lets discuss the pros and cons of this actually coming to market.

  47. Having spent 8 years working for a tier one global investment bank, and understanding that a number of these tier one banks are interested in the Scuderi Group’s IPO, this is a company to pay very close attention to.

  48. Carmelo Scuderi was a genius and his engine design appears to be the product of true genius. And as with works of genius the seeming simplicity is what is so impressive. There’s a reason nobody though of this design before, although many engineers have tried. Scuderi approached the problem as a thermodynamics problem, not as an engine problem.

  49. As I see it, besides all the “green” benefits, what about the fact that with a Scuderi engine, we can buy a car priced at current levels that can save us alot of money at the pump. I’d love to have the fuel economy of a smart car in my pickup truck. Compound that with the green benefits and it’s a no-brainer. I’d love to continue saving for retirement instead of buying a $35,000 econobox that can’t fit a sheet of plywood.

  50. Sorry to run on but I forgot to agree with all the points made earlier except for the EV guy. Don’t get me wrong, EVs are great IDEA for the FUTURE when synthetic batteries can end the strip-mining of the planet for the heavy metals needed for battery technology. But can we really produce enough batteries to power billions of vehicles without destroying the very environment we’re all hoping to save? With synthetic fuels around the corner, we don’t even need EVs or battery hybrids at all if we have a fuel burning engine like the Scuderi that can serve the entire globe as it stands right now.

  51. This engine needs to put to the forefront so we can start using it in our cars of today. It is a product that is prime for quick delivery with little infrastructure change to use it. All we need is the car makers to adopt it.

  52. Thanks to everyone for lending such heavy support to this idea! If you really feel passionately about it, you should find a way to pass it onto your state representative (most of them have websites with standard forms). The sooner people become largely aware of the issue, the sooner it can actually be put into action!

Here’s a video that may help explain the concept more comprehensively: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kogz4wedwtk

  53. I agree Washington needs to get behind this idea instead of batteries that will end up being a worse environmental disaster then what we have today. All these folks buying hybrids because it is environmentally good forget to ask what happens to the batteries that last only a fews years. Makes you feel good til the dump them in your back yard.

  54. I WOULD PUT ONE IN MY TRUCK TODAY IF I COULD. 14 MPG IS KILLING ME. HELP SCUDERI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  55. @Peter Thanks! Everyone who would replace their old engine with a Scuderi should speak up. It will take some ingenuity to turn this into a replacement engine project, but it would be a fantastic way to go at this point in development.

  56. This is, without a doubt, a real exponential advancement in engine technology. This invention has a win-win approach to help consumers while allowing oil conglomerates to continue to make profits…as long as fuel prices are not allowed to rise proportional to the mpg improvements. Regardless, the savings on emissions as well as improvement in torque and power will make for savings opportunities. Thanks to Carmello but also to his family for carrying on with this dream of their dad.

  57. The little engine that will.

  58. I originally invested in Scuderi due to it’s local origination and the hope of a more efficient, more environmentally safe engine. As the engine has been tested and more information about Scuderi’s possibilities, and the potential for monumental changes in the efficiency of the original Otto gas engine have been expressed, my excitement has only grown. I have contained exhuberance and cannot wait until the testing is done and this thing goes global.

  59. The best thing about this engine is that we can be part of a truly great invention that will have a global effect on our environment with greatly reduced emissions, and for the automotive sector will double are oil supply! The realistic alternative solution to electric hybrids.

  60. This motor is the best thing since sliced bread. This is the motor that will be in our vehicles in the near future. An excellent piece of craftsman ship that will stand the test of time. Thank you to the Scuderi family for such an excellent invention and oppurtunity.

  61. This company is going nowhere fast. Why, if it is so awesome, has no oem pocked up the technology?

  62. Has this engine been built yet?

  63. I wonder how many of the above posts have originated from folks who have invested in the company and just want the IPO to happen so they can just get out….again, like Brian said, what’s taking so long?

  64. Anything new? Lots of rumors floating around.

  65. just watched independent lens fluff story on electric cars. if you get chance check it out. afterwards you”ll be screaming for a scuderi engine in your car or truck. what are these companines waiting for? our doe gives tesler 450 million for a piece of junk that they cant even sell. not to mention the billions for gm. wake up usa!!!!!!!!!!! buy the scuderi engine now…..
