So interesting to read about green products for a change instead of just new technology ideas. From personal experience, I think the only way to curb consumerism and go green is to force it. I have come to accept that my parents will never be on the cutting edge of energy efficiency. Let’s just say they’re not putting solar panels on the roof anytime soon. But nonetheless my mother recently bought reusable grocery bags. My initial reaction was…what possessed you to go green?? Her answer…the grocery store is trying to discontinue use of paper bags so I had to follow the green trend. We may like to think that people everywhere will care about the energy crisis and the environment, but the bottom line is that big changes won’t occur until people have no other option but to go green. Most people won’t stop consuming irresponsibly until they have to, sad but true. So the quicker the world is forced to go green, the quicker we can get ourselves out of this crisis.
