FULLY programmable water heater thermostat
My idea is a new type of water heater thermostat. It would be similar to a furnace thermostat except FULLY programmable. I call it the Water Heater Energy Saver (WHES). Basic features would be:
1. Connects with water heater, and is user programmable by date/day, by time on/off, and by temperature.
2. Is user programmable at water heater by being wired in or remotely by computer or other wireless device.
3. Being fully user programmable will allow no heating – or reduction of heating – at night, for vacation, or any other time.
4. Could be part of new water heaters and also sold for retrofit on millions of existing ones.
