First Light: How the House Works
The team has developed some new technologies to make the First Light house more efficient. Clothes dryers are typically the second-biggest electricity-using appliance after the refrigerator in a home. We developed a new, more efficient way to dry your clothes.
We’ve also examined the way the house is heated and cooled and implemented an innovative energy monitoring system so that you can keep track of where energy is being used in the home.
