  1. Madeline and Juliette: Nice work. This is a great piece of video. Gail is very sweet and her interview is conversational without being preachy or effusive. This is a nice honest piece of reporting. Congratulations.

  2. Great video, very informative!

  3. is this a solution for the masses?
is it a middle class solution.
will poorer working people be left with the gas guzzlers?
or will we at the same time increase our access to innovative, convenient public transit and reduce the ubiquitous use of the automobile?
    Think carfree cities.
    Service vehicles is not included.
My vision is a quieter world with no more fossil fueled stressful vehicles.
Will people drive these cars in a more mindful way?
Will there be fewer accidents, deaths injuries and therefore a lessening of our overburdened emergency response teams and hospital services?

  4. Notice who’s backing this program? GM.
Hydrogen is not “emission free”. It produces heat, and the exhaust produces water. Water may not be polluting, but heat is, and look up the definition of “emission” we “emit” CO2 with each breath.

Solar produces no emissions, costs less to produce, and is safer.
Solar panels need to work with batteries; and no car of any practicality can run on solar – yet. But with all the research money going in to alternative fuels, we’re stil burning a substance to get heat to run a vehicle….and global warming is not just caused by increasing CO2. We need to redirect our priorities toward improving solar efficiency. The problem is there’s not enough government funding of it; so progress is slow.

Let’s stop barking up the Hydrogen/natural gas/gasified coal/tree…and look to the tree that’s full of leaves – thanks to the sun.
