Thomas Baloga, Vice President of Engineering for BMW of North America, caught up with Planet Forward at the Auto Show Policy Day on Capitol Hill to tell us about the new light-weight, carbon-reinforced fiber that will help reduce the weight of the car, while still maintaining the safety and durability standards.

  1. Amory Lovins at RMI did a study and 99% of the energy is used to move the car with only 1% used to move the person. A bicycle solves that, I ride mine everyday and leave the PHEV50 for longer trips and more passengers.
