In a co-production with NOVA Science Now, QUEST explores the potential of algae once considered nothing more than pond scum to become the fuel of the future. Entrepreneurs from the Bay Area to LA are working to create the next generation of biofuels from algae. But will you ever be able to run your car off it?

  1. recently i viewed the planet forward show and saw the nuniversity of arkansas invention of a algea biofuel generator. this idea put energy back into the hands of the consumer and has a great potential for environmental clean up as well . i would like to see more on this idea.i love wit when the education industry pursues real projects.
